Alma - Spring Summer '25

REVIVING A LOST FASHION HERITAGE

With "Alma", Ellima seeks to redefine Lima’s place in global fashion, elevating its architectural beauty and textile tradition to the level of cities like Paris and Milan. The collection pays homage to the 1950s, an era when femininity was celebrated through impeccable craftsmanship, structured silhouettes, and meticulous attention to detail.

Seventy-five years ago, Irving Penn immortalized Jean Patchett on the streets of Lima for Vogue in Flying down to Lima (1949), establishing the city as a fashion destination with its own identity. Today, Ellima revives that moment in a contemporary reinterpretation, photographed in Lima’s Historic Center by Gustavo Arrue, featuring model Claudia Sobenes Rivera.
